The Hugh James Asbestos Team does 700 mile virtual relay in support of mesothelioma charities

To mark the continued growth of the specialist asbestos claims team at Hugh James the team will be undertaking a more than 700-mile virtual relay between its offices across England and Wales to raise vital funds for life changing charities and support groups.

The team started the challenge on Action Mesothelioma Day on 2 July and aims to complete the challenge by 30 September. The team hopes their challenge will assist in bringing together the mesothelioma community and raise awareness to eradicate asbestos and asbestos-related disease, the aim of this year’s #ActionMeso Campaign.

The journey will start at our head office in Cardiff with progress being marked at our other offices in London and Southampton. There are other checkpoints along the way including in Cambridge and Plymouth, where some of the team is based.

The 700-mile journey reaches an end back at our head office in Cardiff.

The team is walking, cycling, running, and swimming the virtual relay over the course of 12 weeks.

The team is raising money for Mesothelioma UK (as part of its #Moveformeso campaign), East of England Asbestos Patient Support Group (EEA PSG), The Mavis Nye Foundation, HASAG Asbestos Disease Support, South West Asbestos Support and Awareness Group (SWASAG) and Asbestos Awareness Support Cymru (AASC), key charities and support groups working tirelessly to support those suffering from or affected by asbestos related disease.

You can follow the team’s progress on twitter @HJrespiratory or the following page here. Make sure to look out for some guest appearances along the way!
