Supporting wellbeing at work with team health performance

We are dedicated to creating a supportive workplace environment that enhances the wellbeing of all our people.

As part of this ongoing commitment, we are partnering with Team Health Performance to provide practical tools and strategies that help our teams thrive both at work and beyond.

Following on from the well-received corporate wellness masterclasses that were delivered at our Headquarters in Cardiff last October, wellness expert Chris Flynn travelled to our London office to deliver a ‘Reboot’ session, which has been specifically created by Team Health Performance to improve workplace health, energy and culture.

The session included practical movement and breathing techniques, activities to strengthen teamwork, tailored guidance on hydration and nutrition, mindset coaching to build resilience, and tools to tackle everyday workplace challenges such as fatigue, posture and stress.

We caught up with some colleagues who attended the session to find out what they found most beneficial:

“Of all the things I don’t know how to do properly, who knew that breathing was one of them?! The session was great, and Chris Flynn explained the science behind the massive benefits to be gained from good posture, breathing and hydration and then put it all into action with some really good exercises which we all did together.

After an hour and a half (which flew by), I felt educated about my body and armed with tips and tricks to get the best out of it.”

Ruth Powell

Head of Clinical Negligence.

“It was an intuitive session but delivered in a fun way, which provided simple measures that I think will make a real difference to most of us. A really great initiative.”

Mark Harvey

Head of Specialist Claims and Head of our London Office.

“I really enjoyed the session and found it very informative. I learnt a lot about the benefits of conscious breathing and some simple techniques I can use day-to-day. I left the session feeling refreshed and better equipped to manage stress.”

Merryn Young

Paralegal.

“The speaker was engaging and gave us tips and tricks on how to make small adjustments in our day to day lives which will improve our physical and mental wellbeing. It was a very positive and motivating session!”

Sophie Jones

Senior Associate, Clinical Negligence.

These workshops are just one element of our wider ‘HJ Potential’ employee development programme, which is dedicated to supporting employees to fulfil their potential, professionally and personally.
