Samantha Hind

Samantha is a Senior Associate in our Court of Protection team based from our Manchester office. Sam acts as professional deputy for clients who have sustained serious brain injuries which have impacted upon their capacity to make financial decisions for themselves.

Sam is passionate about improving peoples’ lives following a brain injury and supporting clients to be as independent as possible.

Sam has excellent relationships with clients and professionals who often comment on her ability to give practical advice and explain complex legal language in a way that can be understood by all. She genuinely cares about her clients, and this shows in the long-established Deputyship clients that have been with her since she was a Trainee Solicitor.

Samantha has a niche knowledge and experience of working on quantum investigations and assessments in clinical negligence claims and specialises in litigation support work. She deals with multifaceted deputyships that include, Statutory Will applications, complex capacity issues and DOLS, deputyships that involve statutory funding for care and EHCP/education issues.

  • LPC – University of Sheffield
  • Training Contract at Irwin Mitchell
  • Qualified as a Solicitor in July 2013
  • Moved to Switalskis in 2015
  • 2020 was made Head of COP Finance Department
  • Moved to PRD (now Hugh James) as Senior Associate in 2021.
  • Director of PRDTC since 2022
