Sion is an Associate in the Neurolaw department and, since his qualification in 2018, has specialised in Court of Protection and Personal Injury Trust matters.
Sion primarily assists in the management of finances of people who lack capacity to do so themselves, often following a traumatic brain injury and the recovery of damages in litigation. Sion also has experience in working with clients whose compensation claims are still ongoing, working closely with litigators and clinicians in the management of interim payments.
On settlement of the litigation, Sion has ample experience in managing the next phases of our client’s lives. Be that managing investments, assisting with the purchase and adaptation of a property or increasing care packages and managing employment issues.
Sion also advises lay deputies who are considering applications to the Court of Protection to request an appointment as a property and affairs deputy, has experience in making Statutory Will applications and other stand-alone applications to the court, such as calling in the bond of a previous Deputy who has mismanaged funds and gift applications.
