Two new partners are among 15 internal promotions announced this week by the Partners at Top-100 law firm, Hugh James.
Sarah Davies becomes a partner in the clinical negligence team and Robert Phillips is now a partner heading up the property litigation team.
Announcing the advancements, Hugh James managing partner, Alun Jones said: “We have always valued the expertise we have at Hugh James. This year the partners are delighted to recognise 15 colleagues who have excelled in their work. Their advancement is part of our commitment to training, development and retention of top legal talent across the firm.”
Sarah Davies, aged 35 from Tonyrefail, joined the firm in 2001 as a paralegal before training as a solicitor and qualifiying in 2007. She said: “Hugh James provides a nurturing environment and I have been supported here throughout my career. Being promoted to partner is wonderful, and I look forward to playing an increasing role in the growth and success of the clinical negligence department, which is recognised nationally as a leader in its field.”
Robert Phillips, aged 36 from Abergavenny, has been a solicitor for nearly 13 years and joined Hugh James in 2013. He said: “I am delighted to be invited to become a partner. They are a dynamic and progressive group, and I am excited to have this opportunity to contribute to the development of my division and the firm.”
This week’s announcement also saw six promotions to associate and seven to senior associate across the firm.
