HJ Housing Week is coming! | 6-10th November 2023


Calling all housing professionals…

It’s back! Hugh James is thrilled to be hosting its 23rd HJ Housing Week.

Each year HJ Housing Week brings together legal experts and guest speakers to cover a full spectrum of housing issues, the latest housing news and to offer insights and advice.

Whether you’re an experienced professional wanting to learn more about new legislation, or you’re just embarking on a career in housing, HJ housing week delves into the sector’s challenges and opportunities and has something for everyone.

This year the focus is on social housing.  Hugh James has the largest social housing team in Wales and is celebrating 40 years of advising and working with the sector.

HJ Housing Week is taking place 6-10th November.  Sessions will be delivered in a variety of ways including webinars and in-person events, as well as videos and articles you can share amongst colleagues and refer back to any time that suits.

Commercial property

Day 3 | Wednesday 8th November | Zoom

Looking ahead to next year’s key construction law developments and how social housing providers are navigating economic and environmental barriers to meet targets.

Employment & HR

Day 4 | Thursday 9th November | Zoom

Latest case law developments and key legislative changes.  Alternative Dispute Resolution and ACAS mental health guidance.  How the sector in Wales is making significant leaps in relation to equality and diversity in recruitment processes.

Keeping tenants safe

Day 5 | Friday 10th November | Zoom

Disrepair and fire safety.  Responding swiftly to genuine claims and managing the commercial challenges of vexatious claims.
